Dates to Remember

  • Oct. 6- Inservice day for teachers.  NO school for students.

  • Oct. 9-13 is our Fall Break

  • Oct. 27th Trunk-or-Treat (if you are able to donate a bag of candy or two please send in to your child’s teacher)


  • We will begin working on our mastering our Multiplication Facts.  Students will take a pretest each Monday and a post-test on Fridays.  These will serve as a test grade each week in Math.  

  • Book orders are Due no later than Oct 5th.  

  • The Raptor Security System will be installed after fall break and anyone visiting will need a valid driver's license or state I.D. even to eat lunch with your child. Once this is up and running please be patient with us as we all learn together how it works.  Also, be aware it will take longer to sign in once it is fully operational.

  • If you are in need of after school care, it is available at AES. If you are interested please call 463-2833 or request an application.

  • Our back doors close at 7:50 every morning.  Please make sure you child gets here by 7:30 at the latest if they would like to eat breakfast.

  • Classwork that is scored at a 70 or below may be corrected for a grade modification.  However, test grades may not be changed.

  • If you are in need of your Skyward access information, please contact Mrs. Bell in the front office 494-7695.

  • Children are able to bring a snack if they wish.  We will no longer provide snacks.  If you are in need of assistance on this matter, please let us know.

    • Just as a reminder, EVERY KID EATS FREE for both breakfast and lunch.  Additional food will cost extra (milk, entrees, ice cream, etc.)

    • We will now be recognizing children for outstanding attendance as well as getting to school on time and limiting check-outs.  Although we understand that doctors’ appointments, illness, and other emergencies arise, we still want to acknowledge those who strive for good attendance.  


*The students will be taking their end of the 9 weeks reading and writing assessments next week on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday
